Since it's July, and all my Christmas decorations are hibernating in the basement, I decided my Williamsburg hospitality ball, which hangs around all year, would do a fair job standing in as a Christmas ornament. In July, that's a pineapple on top; in December, it's a pine cone. For the past decade or more we have spent a couple weeks a year vacationing in Williamsburg. I love the Williamsburg "feel," especially the decor.
I don't often say this, but I'm thrilled with how this painting turned out. Thrilled. There. I said it again.
